I was connected for some time to medical supply that occasionally sourced from California. Therefore, in addition to being connected to some bomb Vancouver Island strains, I also had an eye on some of the trends happening down in Cali. The strain Peanut Butter Breath made Instagram fame sometime in 2017, and after some time it seemed like Mendo Breath crosses were coming onto to the scene like a gust of wind. I saw strains like Ghost Breath, Jelly Breath, and Cactus Breath, but, I finally ended up scoring this flower, Fire Breath.

Fire Breath is not really a strain that I would normally choose, but I’m glad I got caught up in the Mendo Breath craze and decided to pick it up. I usually opt for very cerebrally stimulating sativa-dominant strains, ones that will allow for weightlessness, productivity, and focus. Fire Breath is an indica-dominant strain with minimal cerebral effects and a powerful body high. The effects start out tingly and stimulating, the numbing effects deliver an involuntary smile to your face and then happiness and euphoria overtake you. These effects, when directed in the right way, produce an overwhelming sense of focus for me; essentially, without too much cerebral stimulation, I am not distracted by multiple thoughts, and instead feel an intense single-minded, clear-headed sense of concentration. However, the effects are very powerful; Fire Breath has the type of high where you can’t feel your face and music tastes good. The instilled sense of focus also tends to subside somewhat quickly for me, as the sedation that eventually creeps up makes me only want to chill, relax, and possibly sleep.

I usually use this strain for relaxation, so writing this review has actually been the first time that I’ve actually directed Fire Breath towards productive efforts. So far, I have had so much of my attention focused onto the effects of this strain that I’ve forgotten to mention some of her physical features. Initially, my favourite thing about this strain was that the aroma of the buds is so beautiful, the mix of terpenes in this cultivar reminds me of one of my favourite scents, sandalwood. The flavours are smooth, herbal, and very woody. Fire Breath can be used optimally anytime from the afternoon, until late at night. This strain is packed with a ton of medicinal uses, although the relaxation and potent euphoria makes Fire Breath a great social/recreational smoke as well. Definite a fire strain, that is definitely worth a buy.
